Preparation For A Permanent Makeup Procedure
Permanent makeup is classed as a non-invasive procedure, but with anything that pierces the skin there are risks involved. To avoid some of these risks it is really important to prepare for your permanent makeup treatment. Let us go through some of the dos and don’ts for the preparation.
One Week Before Your Procedure
If you are taking Omega 3 or vitamin E supplements, then you should stop taking these 7 days before the treatment. If you are still taking these supplements when you have your procedure, they can thin the blood and cause excessive bruising and pigment migration. Retin A or retinols should be stopped also 7 days prior to the procedure (they should not be taken again for at least 3 weeks after the procedure, they can lead to pigment fading). Also make sure you do not book an appointment for a facial, a peel with acids, fibroblast or micro-needling within 7 days before your treatment (or 2 weeks after).
Three Days Before Your Treatment
For up to 3 days before your treatment you should not take aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatorys as these can also thin your blood. Any other vitamin supplements should be stopped 3 days before your procedure as well as they can impact how your body reacts to the pigment.
The Day Before Your Procedure
The day before your procedure you should avoid alcohol as again this is another substance that will thin the blood. If you are prone to cold sores you will need to make sure you get a prescription for antiviral tablets and take the first tablet the day before the procedure. The tablets will prevent you from having a breakout (Ask your doctor how many days you should take the tablets for after the procedure. They usually advice around 3 days). Be prepared. Decide on specific things such as the colour you want your lip blush, the style of eyeliner you would like or how you want your microblading shaped. You can take a picture or a lipstick to show these things. This gives the permanent makeup artists an indication of what you are wanting so they can best match it.
The Day Of The Procedure
On the day of the procedure, you may want to bring some headphones, clinics from all around the world including Delaware SMP advise you to bring something you can listen to, the procedure could take up to 2 hours depending on what you are having and with permanent makeup being on your face you will not be able to read or watch anything. Here is a list of things to avoid on the day of your procedure
Caffeine
Alcohol
Exercise

Really appreciated this post — it gets to the heart of why good academic support makes such a difference. The writing is easy to follow and actually speaks to students rather than talking over them. Oh, and if deadlines stress you out, my deadline calculator might be exactly what you need.
This was a very engaging and insightful post that made technical concepts feel much easier to understand. I really liked how the author explained ASP.NET topics in a clear and structured way. It’s not always easy to find content that simplifies coding concepts so effectively. As a student working on web development, I often read blogs like this to improve my skills. During challenging projects, many learners also look for ASP.NET Assignment Help to better understand coding logic and frameworks. Posts like this provide both learning support and motivation to keep improving.
I found this post really helpful because it breaks down the preparation process in a way that’s easy to follow but also highlights how important those small steps are before a permanent makeup procedure, especially things like avoiding certain supplements, alcohol or even caffeine, which a lot of people probably wouldn’t think twice about but can actually affect bleeding, healing and how well the pigment settles into the skin . It also stood out to me how much planning goes into the treatment beforehand, like choosing colours or styles and bringing references, because it shows this isn’t something to rush into but more of a collaborative process between client and artist. I like that the post keeps things realistic too,…
